Brush plating equipment and solution: the special power supply is the main brush plating equipment, and the DC power supply with stepless voltage regulation is used. The common voltage range is 0~50V.

The plating pen is the main tool for brush plating, which is composed of a handle and an anode. The anode is the working part of the plating pen. Graphite and platinum alloy are ideal insoluble anode materials, but graphite is the most widely used. Platinum iridium alloy is only used when the anode size is too small to use graphite. Wrap a degreasing cotton wrapper on the graphite anode, which is used to store the electroplating solution, prevent the contact between the two poles from burning the part surface and prevent the anode graphite particles from falling off and polluting the electroplating solution. The shape of the graphite anode depends on the surface shape of the coated parts.

Electroplating solutions include surface treatment solution, deposition metal solution and deplating solution according to different uses.

(1) Surface treatment solution: in order to improve the bonding strength between the coating and the substrate, the coating surface must be strictly pretreated, including power grid treatment and activation treatment, so there are electric cleaning solutions and activation solutions.

Electrocleaning solution: It is called electrocleaning treatment to remove the oil stain and impurities on the metal surface of parts by electrolysis. The electrocleaning solution is colorless and transparent alkaline solution. It does not freeze at - 10 ℃ and can be stored for a long time with low corrosivity. Rinse the parts with clean water after electrocleaning.

Activation solution: It is called active solution to remove the air oxide film on the metal surface by electrolysis. The purpose is to reveal the glossiness of the metal surface and play a special role in the fusion of plating and conventional metal materials.

(2) Deposition metal solution: brush plating solutions are generally divided into acidic and alkaline. The deposition rate of acid solution is 1.5~3 times faster than that of alkaline solution, but most acid solutions are not suitable for loose metal materials, such as cast iron, nor for metal materials that are not resistant to acid corrosion, such as tin, zinc, etc. Alkaline and neutral electroplating solutions have good service performance, can obtain coatings with fine grains, have good plating ability at corners, slits, blind holes, etc., and are non corrosive, suitable for plating on parts of various materials.

(3) Deplating solution: used to remove the coating on the surface that does not need to be plated, mainly removing chromium, copper, iron, cobalt, nickel, zinc and other coatings.
